What is Kavalan SOS Mobile App from TN Police?
Tamil Nadu Police have introduced the Police Officer to assist a mobile application to the public. They said that women and elderly people can use the Kavalan SOS app (their workforce) on their handsets to call the police for urgent necessity.
Chennai Police Commissioner AK Vishwanathan, Assistant Commissioner of Police headed by A.P.Babu, supervisory deputy commissioner and police control officer M Prabakar, headed by MK Prabhakar, handed over 50,000 hand looms to the public for awareness on the Kavalan SOS app . And the Kavalan SOS Mobile Application can be used on all Android and iPhones.
Purpose of Kavalan SOS App:
The caller’s location will be known by GPS for a call to dial in a hurry. The convenience of recalling the caller is in control of the police. Also, the caller’s real time tracking facility is also available.
Caller’s location information and a diagram will automatically be shared to the registered users in this process. Once the Kavalan SOS app button is activated, the GPS camera will automatically turn on the audio-visual video in 15 seconds and send it to the police control. You can also contact the shake trigger facility.
This App available in both languages in English and Tamil. Automatic Alert (Auto Not Alert) also works with no automatic Internet alert.
The Chennai Metropolitan Police has requested the app to register and use this facility on their handsets as it is 24 hours a day for women, elderly and civilians, as security guards.

Step 2: Once you installed the app you can raise the complaint when you face any problem via the App. All the complaint are instantly monitored by State Police Master Control Room.
Step 3: When the complaint request accepted the immediate will take place by Police.
